Oxjam Aberdeen Raises £500

Local bands and music lovers descended on Aberdeen’s Tunnels on Friday for a night of great music and charity fund raising. Turriff youngsters Engraved took the top prize of 3 hrs recording time at Captain Tom’s and a headline spot at one of the Oxjam Music Festivals Flagship Gigs on October 25th.
Oxjam Aberdeen raised £500 from the happy revellers, both on the door and through donations. Local live musical guru Mark Watson, who has attended over 500 gigs and festivals; Tony Young, the curriculum manager at Aberdeen Colleges Music Department and Captain Tom, who owns and runs the legendary Captain Tom’s recording studio in Aberdeen all kindly donated their time to judge the competition and were particularly impressed by the raw talent and determination shown by Engraved.
