Intelligent Agents for Information Management

• Learning to Filter Electronic Mail - MAGI

• Creating Personalised Travel Brochures - VIS, EVIS & ELVIS

  A family of agents (implemented in Java) designed to assemble personalised travel brochures from information gathered from the Web. All three systems use a variant on the Remora meta-search engine to identify travel-related Web sites. Additional features provided by the systems include: assessment of pages considered for inclusion in brochure; use of generic (travel) and user-specific profiles to guide relevance assessment; hotel availability check; user-feedback; adaptive user profiling.

• Multi-Agent Visitor Advising - MAVA

  Intelligent access to a group of databases containing visitor information (hotels, restaurants, pubs). Agents support intelligent query adaptation, and information-sharing.
